Microprocessor Development and Training System

The MC11 is a comprehensive single-board computer based on the popular and powerful Motorola MC68HC11 microcontroller unit. This highly flexible product can be used in various applications. It is designed for use as a development system and training aid, but may just as easily be used as a stand-alone controller or computer.

For educational purposes, the MC11 is ideal for classroom training. It is linked via a serial port to a PC in order to allow easy development of control code.

The MC11 consists of the circuit board, which measures 120x180mm, complete with 8K monitor program rom, 8K ram, and serial connection is via a 9-way D socket. Two IDC connectors permit easy interfacing to peripheral hardware. One of the IDC connectors is directly compatible with standard application products already used in many educational establishments.

All integrated circuits are socketed for ease of maintenance.

The MC11 monitor has single letter commands to minimise typing requirements, and supports hexadecimal number handling.

Power is via a standard 2.1mm power inlet plug, from a 9 to 24V dc unregulated supply.
